Submission Terms

By submitting artwork to a MONAD exhibition, you agree to the following terms.

Ownership

Artists retain full ownership and copyright of all submitted work. Submission to MONAD does not transfer ownership or copyright to MONAD.

Exhibition License

By submitting your work, you grant MONAD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use your submitted images solely for purposes related to the exhibition and the promotion of MONAD. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Exhibition displays

  • MONAD's website

  • Social media

  • Editorial features

  • Press releases

  • Marketing materials

  • Future promotional materials highlighting MONAD exhibitions and programming

This license does not prevent you from exhibiting, publishing, licensing, or selling your work elsewhere.

Artist Representations

By submitting your work, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.

  • You are the creator and copyright owner of the submitted work, or you have full legal authority to submit it.

  • The work does not knowingly infringe upon the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third party.

  • You have obtained any necessary permissions or model/property releases required for the exhibition and promotion of the work.

  • All information provided in your submission is accurate.

Selection

Submission does not guarantee acceptance into the exhibition. All entries are reviewed by MONAD's curatorial team based on artistic quality, originality, technical execution, and relevance to the exhibition theme.

MONAD reserves the right to decline any submission that does not meet the exhibition criteria.

Exhibition Production

If selected, artists may be required to provide high-resolution files suitable for professional printing and framing.

MONAD may make minor adjustments necessary for exhibition production, including cropping, resizing, color correction, or formatting. The artistic integrity of the work will not be intentionally altered.

Need-Based Exhibition Grants

MONAD offers a limited number of need-based grants to assist selected artists with the professional printing and framing of their work. Grant requests are reviewed individually and awarded at MONAD's sole discretion. Applying for a grant does not guarantee financial assistance.

Removal of Work

Artists may request that promotional use of their work cease following the conclusion of the exhibition. This does not apply to materials already published, printed, or distributed before the request was received.

Liability

Artists remain responsible for the originality and legal compliance of their submitted work and agree to indemnify MONAD against claims arising from a breach of these representations.

Updates

MONAD may update these Submission Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of submission will govern that submission.
