Visions of Paris Photo Exhibition

Le Marais, Paris — exact location shared upon acceptance.

Who?

Open to photographers aged 21 and older who currently reside in the North America or European Union.

What?

We welcome photography across fashion and editorial genres, including portraiture, street photography, fine art, fashion, documentary, and experimental practices.

We are looking for compelling work that presents a clear perspective through personal storytelling, cultural identity, everyday life, or visual experimentation.

Why?

Paris has long been a meeting point for fashion, photography, art, and global culture. Visions of Paris creates a platform for photographers to present their perspectives during Paris Fashion Week and share their work with an international audience.

All-Expenses-Paid Photographer Opportunity

One selected photographer will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Paris to participate in Visions of Paris during Paris Fashion Week.

MONAD will cover:

• Round-trip airfare to Paris

• Airport transportation

• Accommodation

• Professional printing and production of the photographer’s exhibited work

The selected photographer will also have time to create new work in Paris while experiencing the energy surrounding Paris Fashion Week.

Applicants must hold a valid passport at the time of application.

About the Exhibition

Paris is a city shaped by movement, contrast, reinvention, and creative exchange. Its visual identity exists not only in its architecture and fashion institutions, but also in its streets, communities, subcultures, and everyday encounters.

Visions of Paris brings together photographers whose work reflects the many ways contemporary life can be seen, interpreted, and reimagined. Some images may explore fashion and identity, while others may focus on people, place, movement, or moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Rather than defining Paris through a single perspective, the exhibition presents a collection of distinct photographic voices from artists across the United States and European Union.

Who We’re Looking For

We invite photographers working across fashion, editorial, and experimental photography. Whether your work explores styling, beauty, identity, narrative, or visual experimentation, we are looking for images that demonstrate a distinctive visual language, strong creative direction, and an original point of view.

Accepted Work

• Applicants may submit up to two photographs.

• AI-generated images will not be accepted.

• Applicants must own the rights to all submitted work.

Exhibition Opportunity

Selected photographers will:

• Exhibit their work in Paris as part of Visions of Paris.

• Participate in an international group exhibition during Paris Fashion Week.

• Retain full ownership of their photography.

• Receive exposure through MONAD’s editorial platform, website, and social media channels.

• Join MONAD’s global network of photographers and become eligible for future exhibition opportunities.

• Pay 0% commission to MONAD on any artwork sold.

About MONAD

MONAD is a global creative platform dedicated to celebrating photography through exhibitions, editorial storytelling, and cultural programming.

Working with photographers from around the world, MONAD creates opportunities for emerging and established artists to exhibit their work, reach new audiences, and participate in conversations shaping contemporary photography.

All submissions will be reviewed by MONAD's Creative Director Dez Amakye and guest industry professionals. Selection is based on artistic quality, originality, technical execution, and the work's connection to the exhibition theme. If you have previously exhibited with MONAD, you are welcome to apply again; however, all applicants must submit a new body of work for consideration.

By participating in this Open Call, you acknowledge and agree to MONAD's Submission Terms.

By submitting your work, including high-resolution files if requested, you grant MONAD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to reproduce, publish, and display your submitted materials in connection with the exhibition and the promotion of MONAD. This includes, but is not limited to, exhibitions, editorial features, MONAD's website, social media channels, press materials, printed collateral, and future promotional content highlighting MONAD exhibitions and programs.

The artist retains full copyright and ownership of all submitted work.

MONAD's curatorial team reserves the right to determine the presentation of selected works, including exhibition layout, print size, framing, sequencing, and other production decisions necessary for the exhibition.

Submission does not guarantee selection, exhibition, publication, or future opportunities with MONAD.

By submitting your work, you confirm that you own all necessary rights to the submitted material and that it does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights of any third party.
